From the beginning, precision and innovation has been SIKO's motto. Dr. Ing. Gunther Wandres founded the company in 1963, beginning production of handwheels with integral analog indicators.
In 1977 the development of a digital indicator replacing indicators with scale and pointer was a milestone in the company's history: SIKO became the world leading manufacturer of mechanical position indicators- a position unrivalled up to today.Having successfully launched opto-electronic measuring systems, SIKO began the era of magnetic measuring technology in 1992. The incremental system was soon enhanced by an absolute one and the original product idea is known as MagLine.
Development work in all SIKO product lines is being continued, with synergy being a driving force. Today SIKO offers a wide range of products and optimum solutions for many areas of use.- Founded in 1963
